Guest Books
Each guestbook created by us is unique and special. Our standard guestbook is 5 inches tall by 10 inches wide. We have thoughtfully designed lined pages to beautifully capture the notes and signatures of each guest. Our guestbooks contain a custom cover page which is designed for you upon ordering, but a generic cover page is also an option. Our guestbooks are built from the ground up using the highest quality book board, leather, and cotton rag paper. Because we build each book when it is ordered, we have the ability to modify them as needed. We can customize your guestbook however it works best for you. Please look at the options below to design the guestbook that is perfect for you.
Cover Options
This is the soft covered option with a wrap closure. The book will have a slightly flimsier feel than the hard cover. It feels a little more rustic and relaxed. The wrap closure has an even more vintage feel. It holds the book closed securely while not being as rigid.
This is the soft covered option with a snap closure. The book will have a slightly flimsier feel than the hard cover. It feels a little more rustic and relaxed. The snap closure has a more polished feel than the wrap. It holds the book closed very securely while maintaining the soft feel of the cover.
This is the hard covered option of our guestbook. The hard cover guestbook lends to a more polished and clean look than the soft covers. It can be made in almost any leather. The hard covered journals can be laser engraved with a lighter leather option to customize your book even more.
Paper Options
This is Cotton Rag paper. Cotton Rag paper is the thickness of watercolor paper, specifically 250 gsm. Due to its thickness, it can be written on with any type of pen or marker without bleeding through. This paper lends two options to finish of the edges of each page. Deckled edges are achieved when Jordan tears the edges of each page by hand, one page at a time. No deckling rulers or devices are used. This guarantees a unique pattern each and every time. The other option is a straight cut edge. The book is bound and then placed in our large guillotine cutter and cut neatly and cleanly. There is a major difference in the look and feel of these two options. Both create beautiful guestbooks.
Our guestbooks can be created using wood-pulp paper as well. The paper we use is the same as our journals. It’s a 70 lb recycled paper that has beautiful natural coloring.
Binding Options
Case – Bound
This means that the signatures are bound tightly together.
Signature Bound
This means each signature is bound through the leather loosely.
Extras
When choosing a snap style closure on your cover, you have the option to hide the snap with a cover. These options are a brown or white antler haunch, a steel domed cover, or a domed coin. These are securely attached to the cover using epoxy glue.
If you choose a lighter color leather, we have the option of adding engraving. This is designed specially for you.
Paper edging,
If you choose the cotton rag paper for your guestbook, you have the option to leave the page edges straight cut or deckled. Deckled means each page is hand torn.
The cover page in your guestbook will be designed for you with your names. Or, you can choose the generic option.
